Workflow Settings - Timecards and Expenses

Users assigned the Administrator, Financial Administrator or potentially a custom security role can approve Labor Timecards and Employee Miscellaneous Expenses. In addition, if the organization has five (5) or more licenses, Time and Expense Workflow can be enabled which provides additional functionality where users can approve time and expenses for their subordinates (see Specifying Managers For Employees) and those employees that they may not necessarily manage but are specified in their user profile (see Approving Time and Expenses for Employees That Are Not Directly Under Management).

Follow strict rules when adding time entries?

The follow strict rules option for timecard entry will impact all labor timecard data entry forms. When this is enabled, the employees listed on the form will be limited to the user, his/her subordinates and those specified in their user profile that they can approve.

* Note: Managers will need to have a security role that provides access to the Timecard Approval feature. If they are currently assigned the Project Manager security role then a custom role needs to be created to allow for time approval since the default PM role does not include that option.
