Estimating Cost Database - Equipment Items Overview
Equipment Items (owned or rented) can be entered as estimate line items and time can be tracked for project costing purposes. As a result, there are various rates that can be documented for each item as shown below.

Steps To Complete Before Creating Equipment Items
- Optional: Equipment Types can be used to group or filter Equipment Items.
- Optional: Classification Codes (eg. Cost Codes) can be used to group or filter Equipment Items.
- Optional: Locations can be used to create distinct estimating rates based on geographical area. This is especially beneficial for contractors who perform work in various cities or counties.
