Updating the Lead Status using Lead Stages

Updating the Lead Stage or Status is very important for Lead Analytics. It is recommended that previous stages are not deleted when adding a stage so an audit trail is developed.

  1. Click the 'Lead' icon on the left menu.
  2. Select the Lead in the 'Quick Select' section. This will then refresh the page and show the 'Current Lead Home' page.
  3. Click the 'General Info' tab.
  4. Navigate to the 'Active Status and Currency' section.
  5. Click the 'Add Stage' link in the Current Stage row.
  6. In the popup form, select the Stage (eg. Bidding, Bid Submitted, Award or Not Award).
  7. Enter the current date in the Date field.
  8. The Estimate Close Date is usually the Bid Due Date or Date Lead will be awarded.
  9. Enter the Lead Amount. This would be the proposal amount if an estimate has been prepared.
  10. Click the 'Save' button within the section.
