Safety Incident Overview

Construction is inherently a dangerous business. Work is often performed under adverse weather conditions and involves the use of hazardous materials, tools, and equipment. Other hazards include noise, dust, excavation cave-ins, and the potential threat of falling or being struck by falling material and equipment. If an event like this occurs, most government agencies such as OSHA (US) require each employer to maintain a log of all occupational injuries and illnesses and have special notification requirements when a fatality occurs or when multiple people require hospitalization.

The Safety Incident feature in Corecon has been designed specifically for this type of tracking. For example, the cause of accident, safety violations, personnel injuries, as well as damage to property and equipment can all be documented.
