TeamLink Portal Authentication Method 2 Overview

TeamLink Portal Authentication Method 2 provides outside team members the ability to view all their assigned project information but requires a few more steps to implement. This authentication method is based on a username and password system which will not change from project to project and the url or hyperlink to access the TeamLink Portal will be different from Option 1. When emailing team members their login information, Corecon will automatically copy the contact's email address for the user name and generate a password. These credentials can also be changed manually in the contact profile form.

To determine which information should be shown in the TeamLink Portal, Corecon uses TeamLink Security Roles which can be set for each company in the Project Directory. This provides more granular control where a company could be assigned different security roles for projects. There are three (3) default TeamLink Security Roles: Owner, Vendor and Architect. Although these default security roles cannot be modified custom roles can be created. This is all managed in Corecon under Settings | TeamLink Portal.

Important Things to Know

  • TeamLink Security Roles only apply to Projects and not Leads.
  • TeamLink Security Roles are set in the Project Directory.
  • Vendors that login to the portal using Authentication Method 2 will also be able to see Active Leads under the Bid Opportunities section but only if they are referenced on the following type of records.
    • Active Lead (with Show in Portal checked) | Invitation To Bid (ITB) Directory
    • Active Lead (with Show in Portal checked) | Estimate RFP Package Bidder
    • Active Lead (with Show in Portal checked) | Correspondence such as Journals
