Employees Overview

Employees can be entered as contacts under your company profile in the Contact Management module or in HR. However, the latter is recommended since the employee form in HR includes additional fields and tables such as education, licenses and payroll rates.

Important Things To Know

  • Due to security concerns, only users assigned Administrator or Financial Adminstrator security role can review and edit information in the HR module. However, a custom security role could also be created to allow access and edits.
  • Employees can be imported from an accounting system such as QuickBooks, SAP or Xero using a CoreconLink utiltiy.
  • The Labor Timecards feature requires Employees and Payroll Rates to be setup.
  • Payroll rate status (Active or Inactive) is dependent on the following.
    • Standard Payroll Rates: There is an archive checkbox on the Payroll Items listing in Settings | Feature Settings | Time and Expenses.
    • Project Specific Payroll Rates: Dependent on Project Status (Active or Inactive)
