Projects Overview

Projects can represent just about anything from a single structure, multiple structures, or phased type work as shown below. When there are multiple structures or phases, the Project will typically have multiple Prime Contracts to track financials for each.

Example Projects

  • Single Structure: Office Building or Home
  • Multiple Structures: Building/Parking Structure or Lot 1/Lot 2/Lot 3
  • Phased Work: Design Phase/Construction Phase

Projects entered in Corecon are typically awarded since Leads are used for tracking opportunities. One differentiation between the two is that Projects can utilize all features of Corecon whereas Leads can use drawings, specs, estimating and correspondence.

Important Things To Know

  • The Project # can be 25 characters in length (alphanumeric). If it is changed, all documentation will reflect the revised number.
  • Only awarded Leads should be transferred to Projects using the 'Lead to Project Wizard'.
  • Project Start and Finish Dates appear in the Scheduling module under Multi-Project Gantt.

Steps To Complete Before Entering Projects

  1. Optional: Lead and Project Classifications for filtering, grouping or sorting records.
  2. Optional: Tagging employees as sales people which is a reference on the Lead Details form.
