Leads Overview

The Leads feature is a business development tool that can be used by estimating or sales staff to track design or construction opportunities. Unlike Projects where everything can be tracked, only the modules and features listed below are available for Leads.

  • Drawings, Specs, Invitation To Bid (ITB) Module: All features
  • Estimating Module: Cost Database, Estimates, Estimate RFP Packages
  • Correspondence Module: Journals, RFIs, Submittals, Transmittals
  • Documentation Module: Project Photos
  • QC Module: Checklists

Important Things To Know

  • The Lead # can be up to 25 characters (alphanumeric) in length. If it is changed, all documentation will reflect the revised number.
  • Lead Bid Due Dates appear in the Bid Calendar.
  • The 'Last Stage Analysis - Trailing 90 Days' pie chart shown on the Lead Info landing page will only include Leads that have an Owner Bid Due Date or a Lead Stage Estimate Close Date that falls within that range.
  • Estimated Lead Start and Finish Dates appear in the Active Lead Gantt Chart.
  • Leads should be transferred to Projects using the 'Lead to Project Wizard' but only if awarded.

Steps To Complete Before Entering Leads

  1. Optional: Lead and Project Classifications for filtering, grouping or sorting records.
  2. Optional: Tagging employees as sales people which is a reference on the Lead Details form.
  3. Optional: Lead Stages for Analytics
